Myopia (nearsightedness) is one of the most common eye disorders in the world effecting 42% of Americans and is a leading cause of blindness. A condition in which objects that are in close proximity are clear in sight, while objects that are far, are unclear. Myopia is caused by the lens or cornea being too curved for the eyeballs length or when the eyeball is too long in relativity to the cornea or lens. This causes light to focus on in front of the retina rather than on the surface.
